Advice on Browsing the Sunshine Studio Web Site
It has come to our attention that some customers do not fully understand how their browsers work (Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer). All modern browsers store both web pages and images in a disk cache. Whenever a page is viewed, the browsers retrieve files from the local cache if the file has not been changed since the last time it was viewed. A typical Sunshine Studio page requires approximately 0.5 Mbytes of storage including all images. Most of the space required is in the images. If the page has been viewed previously, then all images will be obtained from the cache, speeding up the retrieval by a very large factor. We therefore recommend that active, enthusiastic customers who like to compare several sites should set their disk cache space to the largest value they can afford, say 50 to 500 Mbytes. This will speed up browsing of all sites on the Internet. On Netscape, the cache is found under Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Cache. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, these are called "Temporary Internet Files" which are found under Files/Tools/Internet Options/General. You should be sure to set the refresh such that the browser checks the web files against those on the web at least as often as "once per session" or refresh your page frequently to be sure that you are seeing the latest version of the files on your screen.
As an example of how this works in practice, your browser will need to obtain only the new images from a posting if the page has been previously stored in a cache. No thinking or navigation on your part is needed to view the newly posted fetishes as quickly as possible.
We note also that both Netscape and Microsoft Explorer have a search function, called "Find in Page" or "Find (on this page)". If you become familiar with these functions, then you may search any page to find what you are looking for without learning a new search function for every site. The Sunshine Studio pages are set up as a single large page with relatively small thumbnails so that it is convenient either to browse the page or to search the page to find what you want. We find it very annoying to have to jump around to navigate among the multiple pages on some other sites in order to find what we want.
Please write or e-mail if you need further assistance with the standard features of your browser in order to navigate the Sunshine Studio Site.
All Highlighted Text and Images are Clickable: Click on any of the image or highlighted text in the index above and you will go to a page devoted to that type of art. The first image you will see of each item on any of our other pages is a small "thumbnail". If you are interested, you can click on it and see a larger, higher resolution image. All images, especially the high-resolution images will take some time to receive on a 28k modem, so please be patient. You need only click on thumbnails that are of interest to you. By clicking on our award logos or business association logos, you will get further information on these awards or business associations. If you click on our business card from any page, you will go directly back to our graphical index to American Indian Art which is located on the bottom of every page.
Please let us know if there is some way in which we can help you with your American Indian art. We love the art as we are collectors ourselves and hope to share our enthusiasm with you. Do not hesitate to contact us for any reason.
